Outfits.

I was browsing on ASOS.com and came across the 'outfit builder' app they have on there site. You can do things like this on photoshop and other sites but if you're a bit of a technophobe like me you will find this so easy. You can browse through a whole load of clothes (not just from asos but from stores like missguided, rare, french connection...) and simply drag the item you want to start building up your look. You can then upload it for others to see (and rate) or simply save for yourself to keep for inspiration. I am addicted!
Here's two I've quickly done...(I was going for a grungy/glam/festival thing...like I say I did them quickly!).

Along with saving the image it saves where the clothes are from, the cost and all you have to do is click on the link and you are redirected to whatever site you need to buy them. It's fab.

Wish List

I haven't done a 'wish list' post in a while purely because I am trying to save and stop myself lusting over clothes I really shouldn't buy! However this one doesn't count because a) It's Topshops lookbook for AW11 so technically, technically I have a little while before some of this stuff comes out so hopefully by then I can afford to splurge and b) It's toooo nice not to mention!! I love it.

Do you see what I mean?? So nice! I've said it a few times I do miss working at Topshop so much especially the discount and also when we used to get sent through the previews for trends. My bank balance is a lot healthier for not working there though I must say! Find more of the looks here.

Parklife 2011

As I mentioned I went to Parklife festival a few weekends ago with my two best chums Abby and Hattie, It was a messy one to say the least. It took me about a week to recover. The three of us where all having major outfit dilemma's...with the minging weather and all made it tough to decide our festival 'looks', In the end we just grabbed whatever and it didn't really matter as we got so rained on. I must say the street style at the festival was a treat, I wish I'd taken some snaps...I saw ALOT of boys in BUMBAGS....no kidding. Anyway here's a few snaps of us

So glad I had my trusty bowler hat with me as my god did it rain, infact at one point it hail-stoned- in June !!!
Highlights were definitely Metronomy, 2 many Dj's and Darwin Deez's dance routines.

Celine Resort 2012

First off, again I am sorry I have been so lazy recently and not been posting much but in my defence I have been so busy- Last weekend I was at Parklife festival in Manchester with my two best chums Abby and Harriet (more to come on that later...) and I have only just recovered- it was a pretty big weekend...Anyway, sorry again and now back to buisness...

Celine Resort 2012...
Oh my goodness I actually love this collection-well out of my budget I know but I just love everything about it, the soft tailoring mixed with the oversized structured floral pieces- mmm. It's all so bold but in such a subtle way that it isn't ott or a 'fad' look, it just works. In the past I have admired Phoebe Philo's designs (and I am desperate for a classic box bag but short of taking out a loan to afford one I doubt I'll be the owner of one anytime soon)  but for me personally it was a tad too minimal in design and if I could afford it I don't think I'd really wear it. However this collection I want so much!

Ps...There is so many Box bag copies out there at the moment and they're actually decent- Topshop and Primark both have them in lots of colour choices.

Friday Inspiration Post.

I have to admit I didn't really know alot about Marianne Faithful before I watched Sofia Coppola's 'Marie Antoinette' (which is by the way one of my favourite films) where Marianne Faithful stars as Maria Teressa. I recognised the name but didn't really know her but after watching the film and reading up about her I was hooked.

The sixties singer who started out as an angel and ended up a wild child was a gorgeous blond haired-big boobed- mary-jane - wearing singer who feel into love triangles (with Mick Jagger) and drug addiction. Her angelic voice was lost and instead a husky weary smoker's cough of a voice replaced it.

She was a muse to many, including Mick Jagger and after she woke after a 6 day coma (a result of an overdose) his face was the first she saw and she said to him 'Wild Horses couldn't drag me away' which then influenced him to write 'Wild Horses'. Her style is effortless and even now, as a pensioner she still has it despite years of addiction and having breast cancer and without a hint of botox or nip and tucks and this I think is what I love most about her.
