Someone tell my Baby

I found out that these were playing in Newcastle tonight but alas, it was too late to go see them.

Old Work

I am finally getting around to actually sorting out my old work into some kind of portfolio. At the moment I am crudely scanning in work on my mums little scanner. Need to find somewhere or someone in Newcastle with an A3 scanner/ printer if I am ever going to get myself a decent portfolio together. Anyway, this is a page out of my year 2 contemporary creative practice portfolio. This was one of my favourite modules at university as we had to make an experimental film, I hope to get some images on here eventually from the film that i made with Harriet called 'I wear my heart on my sleeve' but in the mean time; here is a page out of the portfolio which contains portraits of Harriet. We had several portrait tasks where we had to take portraits of ourselves and two others. The ones I did of Harriet are my favourite.

(sorry for the poor quality scan....Hopefully better to come soon)

I'm Here

This is a short film by Spike Jonze.
There's something really simple and lovely about it. Spike Jonze explores the relationships between a robot and another and is about two robots falling in love in LA. Although the film has corporate sponsorship from absolut (so much so they've even managed to get absolut into the tag line, although absolut do have supported a fair few up and coming designers and artist's in the past)
This is really beautiful.
You can watch it online here http://www.imheremovie.com/#

Getting to Grips with the Diana

So I got given a Mini Diana camera for my birthday by my lovely friend abby and for such a simple camera I am still getting to grips with it.

I got them processed at boots which i have been told is the wrong thing to do as they process the film with a machine with automatically finds the picture and because the diana takes half shots and stuff it can't process them right hence the big annoying black parts on my photo's...But hey it's a learning curve.
(Some are really awfully unclear but i think it can be passed off as 'experimental...haha).
